Beach Front Home Front: War at the Beaches
July 11 – November 16, 2025
War has left a lasting impression on our island, not only through battles fought abroad, but in the quiet transformations felt at home. From reshaped waterways and the construction of the Navy base to the personal sacrifices made by residents, the Beaches community has been deeply affected by conflicts across the centuries.
This exhibit explores the many ways war has touched our community, how it has reshaped our landscapes, tested our resilience, and brought us together.
