Field Trips

The Beaches Museum offers educational field trips all year round! The combination of our Permanent Exhibit, rotating temporary exhibits, historic buildings, 1911 steam locomotive, and historically accurate kitchen garden creates a unique learning experience for students of all ages.

Please note that the 1887 St. Paul’s By the Sea Chapel and the 1903 Post Office are not included in the tour by default unless your group exceeds 50 students, but you are welcome to request these stops on your tour.

Unless otherwise requested, all field trips begin at 10:30. The standard field trip lasts an hour and a half, though you are welcome to request a shorter or longer trip.

We charge a program fee of $4.00 per student. We do not charge for chaperones. Admission fees can be paid in person by check or card, over the phone, or through our online payment form. Teachers and chaperones attend free of charge. If cost presents a challenge for your school or students, please let us know—we are happy to work with you to ensure everyone can participate.

If your group includes more than 50 students, we strongly recommend scheduling multiple field trip sessions. For every 10 students, one adult chaperone is required. This helps us provide the best possible experience.
